Arrows

I love a good arrow print. From top, unisex wool cardigan by The Portland Collection from Pendleton, sadly only on sale at Revolve for $155 in an xl (photo courtesy of Beklina, where it is full price for $265); coat by Lauren Moffatt on eBay in an xs for $98 with 12 bids and 8 hours left, or a large for $150 with zero bids and 2 days left or $175 with buy-it-now; and a print from a vintage Marimekko dress on eBay at $45 with 1 bid and 1 day left.

  1. I love this arrow print, too...I keep wondering, though, if it's too trendy. It reminds me of all the Chevron patterning around. I really like them, but can't decide if they'll last. Maybe they're not staples, but cool and current?

  2. You make a good point Sara. I think the vintage Marimekko print suggests that arrows are at least a recurring theme, if not ever-present. The Moffatt seems like the trendiest of the bunch. My other concern is whether these are straying too close to the Navajo-inspired clothing that seems to be everywhere right now and which I find problematic. (The New York Times had a decent article about that: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/15/fashion/an-uneasy-exchange-between-fashion-and-navajo-culture.html). Other thoughts?
