Maybe it's just the Memorial Day marketing, but all I can think about it cotton poplin summer dresses. Slingbacks

File this under the ever-growing list of things for when the weather ever gets better. These black leather slingbacks from The Palentines are basic but interesting, made in LA, and on sale for $125 (were $305). This yellow pair by Phillipe Model is available in dwindling sizes on the Barney's Warehouse site for $101 (were $425) during the extra 40% clearance sale.

Spring, Please

I love this digitally printed silk skirt by Partimi, on sale for $138 (was $460) at Mr. Larkin. I guess it works with tights and a sweater too, given that warm weather is probably not around the corner.

Work Jewelry

This brass wear-everyday washer-type necklace is on sale at Of a Kind; 35% off $130 (through Monday, 2/2) brings it down to $84.50.

Sales Most Wanted

Of the sale items still floating around the internet, I have my eye on this tan fuzzy cardigan by Demylee at Kickpleat, $213 this weekend with code "EXTRA20" (was $380), this yellow version of the greatest bag ever by AANNDD (confession: I already have it in black) on sale for $153 with code "now15yeah" at Beklina (was $290), and these Anntian sneakers at Totokaelo for $154 (were $385). The sweater is still too pricey and the sneakers are probably too crazy...but I really like the bag.

Back, for the Love of Sales

I'm back to tell you all (all 3 of you) about a really good sale happening at Los Angeles boutique Althouse right now, albeit with limited sizes. I'm mad that this Apiece Apart silk patterned dress, at $118 (was $475), is even cheaper than what I paid for it elsewhere on super sale (though mine will look different than this image after I have the sleeves and possibly the bottom hemmed). These Dieppa Restrepo gold and black striped oxfords are only $66 (were $265). More sale PSAs to come.

Rachel Comey Sale Roundup

I am doing my best to restrain myself this sale season, but I do like these Barbaro studded boots in navy suede at Totokaelo for $210 (were $420), and this denim shirt at the Rachel Comey site for $132.50 (was $265). Other good RC finds from around the internets include this top on eBay, currently under $10 with 9 days left, this gold leopard-print dress at Bird for $209 (was $690).

There are so many beautiful shoes on sale right now, though perhaps not on sale enough. I am keeping an eye on, from above, No. 6 shearling boots at Totokaelo for $266 (were $380); Dieppa Restrepo loafers in copper metallic at Kickpleat for $186 (were $265); Reed Krakoff heeled oxfords at Century21 online (!) for $153 (originally $625); and size 9 Rachel Comey quilted Logan boots on eBay for $90 with no bids and 6 days left (originally $400).

Of A Kind Sale

Everything is 35% off at the great limited edition site Of A Kind until January 4. I like, from above, this camel and indigo bucket bag from Baggu for $91 (was $140) and this black and gold linen tablecloth throw thing by Caroline Z. Hurley for $81 (was $125), but there are other bags, jewelry and home goods galore. 

Shawls

If you've wanted a Virginia Johnson shawl and don't have a particular one in mind, now might be the time to go for it. Today the site is having a flash sale where 4 shawls are $50 (usually $195). I like this brown and magenta one, but there's also a nice orange lobster print. I also like this black and white one on eBay with a starting price of $75, 4 days and no bids. Now if only they'd only just bring back the heavier wool ones.
