Memorial Day Sales

Marimekko

For any other Marimekko devotees out there, someone is currently selling a whole trove of vintage dresses on eBay. I like this iconic orange and blue shift (see the tiny pocket?!), currently at $86 with 3 bids and 2 days left, but several others have no bids and starting prices of $50.

Silk Scarves

Loeffler Randall

Deals on sandals from perennially nice shoe purveyor Loeffler Randall abound. There's a Loeffler Randall sample sale through today in New York, but for those of us far away, these black sandals, above, are $100 (originally $195) with the recent Reserve by Refinery29 voucher for Brooklyn boutique Bird (buy the $100 voucher from Reserve by tomorrow, get $200 on anything at Bird through August); this suede fuchsia pair is on eBay at $49 with 1 bid and 1 day left; and these neon and nude sandals -- the ones I really want -- are $158 (originally $175) at Loeffler Randall after signing up for the mailing list (there are some sandals for 30% off on their website, too).

Heath Ceramics

I went up to the Heath ceramics factory open studio in Sausalito, California with friends on Friday, including fellow aprovecharse contributor Marty. I love the durable simplicity of their pieces (read about their history here). This serving bowl in the grapefruit color is offered only seasonally, and while it's about 30% off (originally $130) at the factory sale this weekend, it is also 10% off along with the rest of the online site through tomorrow with code myopenstudio.

Pants
