Sample Sale

I'm not sure how I'm on their email list, but I was just notified about an online sample sale in progress over at Fashion Stake. Check out the last of Dusen Dusen and some Mociun jewelry, like this gold and lapis ring for $125 (was $700).

Modernica

A friend with the best taste in furniture let me know about the annual sale happening at Modernica (of license to reproduce Eames fame) this Saturday. If you happen to be in L.A., go!

Duvet

I like my tangerine duvet from Unison so much I would consider buying it again. On sale for $76.80 (from $128) plus shipping on the Design Public outlet site because the box was opened. There are pillowcases (were $24, now $14.40), too.

Labor Day Sales on Sale

Sales sales sales. Hard to resist the many beautiful things at an extra 20% off at Opening Ceremony or La Garconne, with respective codes ADDITIONAL20 (through 9/4), and LABOR20 (through 9/5). Lots of other sales too; there's a more complete list at Sale Bite.

African Prints

Beautiful colorful African prints (dark and light ones are for specific mourning or celebratory purposes, but colorful ones are for general use, I've been told by a reliable source), the latter two made through (ostensibly at least somewhat equitable) trans-Atlantic collaborations. Trapeze dress by LBD workshop $160 from Vagabond; stunning Suno skirt made in Kenya on sale for $119 at Opening Ceremony with code ADDITIONAL20 through Labor Day (was $495 -- other amazing Suno made slightly more affordable on sale through their online store and at Opening Ceremony); and Ghanaian wax print cotton tunic/dress designed by Osei-Duro and made in Ghana by the Dzidefo Women’s Cooperative, on sale for $78 (was $130) from Pour Porter.

Creatures of Comfort

Amazing retailer Creatures of Comfort's own line of silk and linen basics are now up to 75% off. While it's the last of the summer sale, some of these pieces could be good layers for school/work, like this pebbled silk t-shirt for $63.75 (was $255, also available as a tank top in black for $47.50, down from $190). I also like this post-work silk low back dress for $83.75 (was $335, also in "papaya").
